BOLD DIVA was technically a maiden after 24 attempts coming into this, but she had twice passed the post in front in January only to lose both races due to the discovery of a banned substance. However, she was proven in these conditions and was given a fine ride by Hayley Turner, who switched her off out the back from her inside draw while the leaders went blasting off in front. Making her ground gradually on the inside rail, she was produced with precision timing to get up near the line.
Tamino, without a win in 15 months and slipping down the weights as a result, was given a totally contrastingride to the winner as he set a decent pace and for much of the home straight it appeared that he wouldn't be caught, but he cruelly had the race snatched from him near the line.
Tadlil, on a long losing run andraised 4lb for getting just touched off on Fibresand last time, was still battling away when done few favours by Shaded Edge entering the last furlong, but he wouldn't have finished better than fourth in any case.
Charlotte Grey, whose four careerwins have been at Wolverhampton, was always in a good position behind the leader against the inside rail, but didn't find much once off the bridle. She will still be of interest when returning to Dunstall Park.
