Kaldoun Kingdom might just have hit the front a little too soon, but this was still a huge effort, as he was the only one in the first ten drawn in a single-figure stall. He is declared to run over 5f at Doncaster today.
Shifting Star seemed to have every chance if good enough and this was much better than hislatest Ayr effort.
Cape, carrying 1lb overweight, travelled strongly but could find only the one pace when in the clear.
Carcinetto, due to be dropped 2lb, stayed on again after getting outpaced mid-race, but Great Charm probably would have preferred softer ground.
Artimino was poorly drawn as it turned out, but that was no excuse. [RW]
