SIROCCO BREEZE, a half-brother to the prolific sprinter Caustic Wit, ran out a comfortable winner on this belated debut outing and rates value for further. He was always well placed and, despite being by Green Desert, moved easily on the soft surface. His rider did not need to resort to the whip and he should come on nicely for the run, so it will be interesting to see how the handicapper assesses this effort.
Pivka had every chance on this return to turf and ran close to her official rating. She probably wants a stiffer test on this evidence.
The first three pulled clear of Shakedown, who did not help her chance of getting home on this return to the extra furlong by running freely early on.
