On Raglan Road took keen hold, chased leaders, led 7th, drew clear from 2 out, very easily
Peters Star chased leaders, outpaced 3 out, plodded on to go second approaching last, no chance with winner
Moygashel held up, headway 7th, every chance 3 out, weakened between last 2, lost second approaching last
Depraux led to 7th, lost touch from 3 out
Saddlers Singer prominent to 7th, soon lost touch
Gino pulled hard, held up, struggling from 4 out, tailed off when pulled up and dismounted between last 2
Dukesfield behind, headway 8th, blundered and lost touch from next, tailed off when pulled up before last
Pressman chased leaders to 7th, soon struggling, tailed off when pulled up after 2 out
Peters Star, racing with a penalty after a handicap win off 95 over a shorter trip in March, had weakened in both previous starts at this distance. He tracked the leaders before getting outpaced, then stayed on again in the home straight past a tiring rival, but was nowhere near the winner. This run did not confirm his stamina at the longer trip.
Depraux, winless after 11 hurdling attempts, was stepping up in trip. Leading early, he was under pressure in the back straight and weakened.
The only other finisher was Saddlers Singer, who had finished no closer than 30 lengths behind a winner in his three hurdles starts, two of which were in selling company, and fared no better here.
