YORKSTERS GIRL set a clear standard with the form of her three previous runs and she could hardlyhave done the job any easier on this return to maiden company. She had showed when third to Secrecy at Doncaster last time that she handles soft ground and this deeper surface proved no problem as she came right away from her rivals in between the final 2f. She would have likely scored no matter what side of the track she raced on and ought to be high on confidence now, but was very much entitled to take this.
Allformary, whose stable had won this event with two of its three previous runners in the past ten years, stayed on, on the far side to post a respectable debut effort and won the race for second. She found the winner in a different league, but looks sure to come on for this initial experience and will probably enjoy a slightly sounder surface over the trip.
Denton Diva turned in a slightly improved effort for the return to a softer surface and now becomes eligible for a nursery mark.
