Cinerama took keen hold, soon prominent, led well over 1f out until inside final furlong, led near finish
Azure Mist took keen hold, soon prominent, slightly hampered over 4f out, led inside final furlong, headed near finish
Jollyhockeysticks held up towards rear, pushed along and headway over 2f out, one pace final furlong
Nikolaievich slowly into stride, in rear, no real progress final furlong
Tampopo led, pushed along and headed well over 1f out, weakened inside final furlong
Lancaster Lad pulled hard, soon prominent, every chance well over 1f out, soon weakened
Jay Gee Wigmo soon steadied towards rear, carried wide by loose horse bend over 4f out, no danger after
Bramalea took keen hold, prominent, close 4th when hampered and unseated rider bend over 4f out
She travelled strongly through the race and should have no trouble back at 7f, so may win again.
Azure Mist was slightly hampered by a tumbling Amy Scott, who was unshipped from Bramalea, but it did not seem to affect her performance and she did not go down without a fight. She has been a model of consistency of late and deserves to win a race now.
Nikolaievich was slowly into stride and had to be ridden so as not to lose touch. She never really threatened in the straight, just plodding on at the one pace for fourth.
Tampopo ran quite well on this handicap debut and may be open to a little further improvement.
