Nothing much went right for favourite Thoroughly Red. He tracked the lead and travelled well, but the filly in front of him dropped away rather quickly two furlongs out and left him in front. It certainly looked as though hewas in front far sooner than the rider wanted and he couldn't respond when the winner challenged.
Now qualifying for a handicap mark is American Princess. She'll probably get further as she raced towards the back most of the way before keeping on inside the last without being a factor.
Dinah Doll set out to make all but was beaten quickly once she was headed two furlongs out.
