He needed to battle under a determined Roger Loughran tackling this longer trip for the first time to get the better of Donttellmother by a length. The winning rider believes he wants a stiffer track and following a crack at a winners of one, he could well end up going chasing according to the winning trainer Dessie Hughes.
The runner-up who raced prominently throughout and put in another decent display. He likes a sound surface and should be winning before long on this evidence.
Clonsilla Affairs had run his best race over hurdles when third in a Cork handicap last time. He travelled well leaving theback straight and looked sure to play a hand in the finish but was unable to make any inroads soon after. The burden of top weight took its toll.
Recent bumper winner Drama Queen Miss led for a time until weakening but should be open to plenty of improvement with this experience behind her.
Russian Mist was held up off the pace and never threatened while Sharabid almost ran out at the third which did him no favours.
