COSCORRIG, a first winner for Andy Lynch as a restricted trainer over 12 months ago, jumped well where it mattered to win again. She had reached the frame in her previous two outings and leading with a circuit to race gradually increased the tempo under a good ride to defeat the favourite. She may run again in Roscommon on Monday if none the worse for her second career win.

Collingwood was held up before creeping closer to the leader before the third-last. He was soon struggling to close the gap as the leader increased the tempo down to the second last where a couple of fluent leaps sealed the issue.

Gizmondo was beaten a long way into fourth running off this mark at Kilbeggan last time, and while this was a better finish, he had no answer from the second-last.

Blaze Trailer found life difficult in Galway but this was more encouraging from the Roscommon 1m4f handicap winner last June.

Borouj was pushed along in second approaching the third last and was soon going nowhere, while Art Modern raced prominently until dropping right outwhen the race unfolded down the back.
