The winner had a couple of respectable runs behind him at the Curragh and Galway but dropped to 73 looked to be on a competitive mark again and he duly took advantage.
Un Hinged didn't enjoy the clearest of passages when the race unfolded but when he eventually got some daylight, he ran on well to snatch second. He looks one to keep on the right side after his previous fourth in a higher grade handicap at Roscommon.
Numen raced in the leading group to show more like the form that saw him with a couple of times in the past while another shape well was
Monthly Medal.
Ask Jack was fancied to build on his two recent third-place finishes but after looking a spent force a furlong from home, he passed a couple of tired horses in the closing stages.
Invincible Joe missed the kick and was pushed along early on to gain his early second place position. This probably didn't help his cause when more was required straightening for home while the burden of top weight probably did Cochlear no favours when asked for his effort.
