IRISH WHISPERS, beaten over11 lengths on each of his last six runs, albeit they were well spaced out, found this company to his liking and just got the better of the runner-up close to the line. He turned over a 2/7 shot here to land his only previous success and seems to like this course.
Hot Zone probably would have won this had he kept straight over the hurdles. He might be a tricky sort and is not one to overly trust.
Nayodabayo only just won a seller last time, which clearly illustrated he is nowhere near the horse he once was. He still had every chance as they came into the home straight but found little for pressure.
Nicki Boy won a reasonable seller last time and looked a big threat down the back straight before finding very little when asked to catch those in front. He appears to struggle at this sort of distance.
Dan Buoy, having his first start forRichard Guest and with a tongue tie fitted for the first time, showed absolutely nothing and was pulled up fairly early in the race.
