Edmondstown Lass consistently gets into the frame but her performance did raise a question mark. She raced prominently the whole way and travelled well to challenge over a furlong out, but once getting there she didn't find as much as it looked like she would and exhibited a very high head carriage. She's certainly good enough to win a handicap at this level, and she may well have beenbeaten by a filly that's better than this level, but her performance wasn't convincing.
Distant Piper gave some indication that there may be a race or two left in him. He was never close enough to challenge but stayed on well inside the last furlong to be nearest at the finish.
Also staying on well was Rouvres Girl. She's a frustrating filly with enough ability to win, but when going closest has tended to come from well back and that's what she did again tonight.
