One More Minute had been off the track for a couple of years prior to Easter and reportedly had broken down so badly at one stage that he was almost put down. He's made a fair recovery it would have to be said. Staying on from a good bit off the pace here, he moved into third before the second-last, and racing on the stands' side rail he did challenge the winner, but appeared to run around a bit before the final fence and his effort was at an end from there. It was still a very decent run.
They did finish fairly tired behind the first two, which was probably best exemplified by Battle Axe finishing as close up as he did. He was under pressure and going nowhere apparently four out, but just stayed on at the one pace from the second-last, ahead of Buccal Cusp, who ran similarly.
Code Of Silence was reported by the Turf Club vet to have lost a shoe in running. [JOH]
