Tatbeeq made all, ridden over 1f out, ran on well final furlong and always in command
Liberally raced keenly, tracked leaders, dropped into midfield 5f out, ridden over 2f out, progress approaching final furlong, stayed on to take 2nd towards finish, not trouble winner
Robert Burns pulled hard, in touch, ridden over 2f out, stayed on to chase winner entering final furlong but no impression, lost 2nd towards finish
Holden Eagle slowly into stride, held up in rear, headway over 1f out, stayed on inside final furlong, not reach leaders, one to note
Into The Light held up, pushed along over 2f out, edged left and headway over 1f out, stayed on inside final furlong, no impression on leaders
Soviet with winner until ridden over 2f out, weakened final furlong
Dolcetto tracked leaders, ridden over 1f out, soon weakened, eased when beaten inside final furlong
Ateesh slowly into stride, soon in midfield, pushed along 3f out, weakened over 1f out
Shaylee towards rear, outpaced 3f out
Applaude raced keenly, prominent on outside, ridden and weakened 2f out, edged right over 1f out, eased when beaten inside final furlong
Bountiful Bay always behind
Liberally stayed on well to put up an improved performance and a longer trip will suit.
Like the runner-up, Robert Burns will be handicapped now. He pulled hard but stayed on, though he was never going to get to the winner.
Into The Light (having his third run too) came from off the pace and clearly left the impression that he will be suited by a longer trip.
Applaude would not settle and drifted towards the middle of the course in the closing stages having been in contention early in the straight. He should have appreciated this ground and he has to be given another chance.
