Victory went to IMPOSSIBLE DREAM, who registered his second career win after racing prominently from the outset. He won his maiden over this journey on his second start almost 12 months ago on similar ground and these underfoot conditions certainly brought out the best in the Indian Danehill colt. He held a clear advantage entering the final furlong and wasn'twinning out of turn given he was placed three times in five previous handicap starts.
Belle's Ridge was doing his best work in the closing stages. Still a maiden, he was contesting his fifth handicap but on this evidence he'll probably appreciate a return to a mile or even a little further.
Dragon Lady was backed at a bigger price before racing seeking her first victory in her second handicap. She showed enough in the closing stages to suggest she looks capable of getting off the mark before long. She might appreciate some better ground but she appears to be going the right way.
The ground went against Roy's Delight but in the circumstances he wasn't disgraced when keeping on in the closing stages.
Majestic Cheer appeared to be going well after halfway but when push came to shove this former winner failed to pick up. She wasn't done any favours inside the final furlong but was beaten at the time. Bentesina was held up but never got in a blow on this slow surface, along with Circle Dance, while Brosna Cry was another tomake little impression.[BF]
