Always prominent on the far side of the track where he ended up racing almost by himself, the winner led after halfway and just galloped right away from his rivals to score by a very long-looking fivelengths.
His stable companion Astonish was backed from 6-1 on the track and touched odds-on, but she was no match whatsoever for The Emperor Nero. She tracked the lead towards the stands' side and had to be hard-ridden to get on top of the main body of the field. She kept on pretty well up the hill while being completely outclassed and now qualifies for a handicap mark.
Castlemoy Orphan dropped in trip here and showed a fair bit more than on her Tipperary debut. She chased the leaders early and closed up at halfway. She kept on at the one pace without being a danger and needs one more run to qualify for a mark.
Dash Back has been most disappointing since a decent run in the 1,000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown and the drop in trip in two starts since doesn't seem to have worked. She showed a bit of speed and was close to the lead at halfway, but dropped away inside the final furlong and a half. [JOH]
