A 54-rated horse won here on Friday and this race was almost grabbed close home by the 47-rated Alocin. He obviously appraciated the drop in trip and rain-softened ground as he came home well from just off the pace and only narrowly failed.
The 56-rated Champions Waywas a place further back. He's shown a bit of speed in the past but came home well on this occasion without looking likely to trouble the winner.
Adriatic broke well and travelled close to the lead until a furlong out. He weakened well inside the last on this, his second run of the weekend.
Favourite Capall An Ibre looked to be ideally suited by five furlongs on a sound surface. She only got one of those, showing speed and running prominently until she came under pressure and weakened a furlong out. [JOH]
