The majority of the interference in the closing stages appeared to be caused by Shesthebiscuit, who slightly squeezed the run of Lucky Heroine, but no action was taken. Shesthebiscuit held every chance when disputing the lead a furlong out but was one paced.
There is no question that the unlucky horse was third-placed Solar Sail, as Martin Harley lost hisirons after two furlongs and it was a good half-mile until he regained his footing. While Solar Sail didn't lose much ground in the process, she certainly lost her momentum and having been on the heels on the leaders turning into the straight, she was gaining ground without getting on terms.
Lucky Heroine, who hit the front at the two-furlong marker, was treading water when she was hampered inside the final furlong and this may have cost her a couple of places at most.
