The winning trainer said afterwards that this horse is very well schooled over hurdles and will be taking that route before long.
All Heart had run only once on the Flat in the past couple of years prior to this, but any hope that her ultra-frustrating tendency to finish second or third might not extend to this sphere were to be disappointed. Held up early, she closed inside the final half mile but in truth the winner got first run.
Dbest looks potentially one of the best handicapped horses on the Flat in Ireland, but heavy rain went against him. Held up early, it was a struggle for him to get into contention inside the final half mile, he never really lookedlike getting there and had no extra inside the final furlong and a half.
Start From Scratch ran well for a long way, racing in second place and travelling well to the front three furlongs out, but his stamina seemed to give way inside the final furlong. JOH
