An ordinary sprint handicap and an ideal opportunity for RADIATOR ROONEY to notch up his first win on turf. Handy enough to halfway, he got to the front a furlong out and just about found enough to repel the runner-up. He's likely to turn out again at Naas on Wednesday.

Adriatic once again was narrowly denied, and most certainly deserves a change of luck. Racing just off the pace, he sustained his challenge from the elbow and only just failed to get up.

Mt Weather got a bit outpaced early on before keeping on well from over a furlong out. He was nearest at the finish without being a threat.

Maid Ofiron is another filly with plenty of early pace, but she possesses little else these days and weakened inside the final furlong.
