Mistakes at a vital stage cost Vicky Lane at Punchestown the time before, but she just wasn't good enough on this occasion. She travelled well and arrived to challenge the winner two out, but in the end was outclassed. She can win an ordinary mares' hurdle.
Galiana came back from her win at Hexham last Saturday with a decent enough effort here under a penalty. Settled just off the pace, she travelled well enough but had to switch tothe outside to try to challenge three out. A mistake there didn't help her cause, but she wouldn't have been good enough anyway.
Canitellyou kept on at one pace but was never close enough to challenge.Prominent early, Flushtown Vale eventually dropped away and was pulled up. The rider reported that he broke down.
