Choose Me dwelt, held up in touch, 6th and headway entering straight, led 1 1/2f out, stayed on well
Takasima tracked leaders in 3rd, close up 3f out, led entering straight, headed 1 1/2f out, kept on without troubling winner inside final furlong
Maybe Grace prominent, 4th entering straight, 3rd over 1f out, kept on same pace
Lough Mist mid-division on inner, 5th early straight, not clear run under 2f out, 4th 1f out, kept on same pace
Luminous Eyes towards rear, no impression early straight, kept on inside final furlong
Daylumney mid-division, 7th entering straight, no impression from 2f out, one pace
Look Officer held up in touch, no impression from 2f out
Lady Ruler led, ridden and strongly pressed 3f out, headed entering straight, soon no extra
Key Of Fortune towards rear, no impression straight
Vertical Landing slowly into stride, soon trailing, kept on same pace under pressure straight
Katys Girl prominent, 2nd halfway, 3rd approaching straight, soon weakened
Spavento tracked leaders, 4th halfway, weakened entering straight
Chanthea never a factor, behind when eased 1 1/2f out
CHOOSE ME saw out the extra furlong very well, and maybe the fact that she dwelt fractionally in the stalls wasno harm. She settled well in the rear before moving up through the field before the turn into the straight, and once going to the front inside the last she took command very quickly. There can't be much doubt that this is her kind of trip after this display.
Third in a good maiden at Leopardstown last week, Takasima looked more of a professional on this occasion but whether she improved much or not is open to question. Always handy, she travelled strongly to get to the front over a furlong out butcouldn't match the change of pace displayed by the winner. She's likely to be well suited by a mile.
Also showing plenty was debutant Lough Mist. Tracking the leaders on the inside, she tried to close in the straight but was short of room and the rider had to almost snatch her up a furlong out. She kept on well despite that and looks potentially interesting.
Luminous Eyes showed some ability but would have her limitations on this bare evidence. She raced towards the rear most of the way before keeping on well inside the final furlong to be never nearer. One could make an educated guess that Galway might well be on her agenda. [JOH]
