A modest maiden but FOUNTAINS ABBEY could do no more than treat them with disdain, apart from a worrying moment when she wanted to hang right to the stands' side, which can be excused as she had been out in front from early on. She was quickly made to concentrate and pulled readily clear again, value for more than the wide margin.The form of her previous two maidens look strong so her future depends how the handicapper reacts but she again showed soft ground holds no fear.

Suede did not lookat home on this ground and did well to fill second the way she was travelling into the final three furongs. She can improve on the bare form back on a sound surface.

Alto Singer was stepping up considerably in trip after a 455-day break since her debut effort over 5f. She ran well enough, although her run flattened out in the final furlong.

Circaidan Rhythm may not be straightforward and did not look happy on the ground but was held together through the final two furlongs when well held.

Watercolours again showed a dislike to the stalls and refursed to go in and got rid of her rider before being withdrawn for the second race running.
