Magical Speedfit won here over 5f on firm ground early in the year but took a long time to hit top gear this time and only ran on late for second.
The prospects of Warwick winner Arabian Art had been boosted by the subsequent handicap win of the second, but she had no excuse this time, other than perhaps the loose ground, as it had been firm when she won.
The first four were clear of Tadalvil, who was the first beaten, and Rough Rock, who showed speed but weakened well over a furlong out.
