SECRET ADMIRER managed to avoid the trouble at the second-last which was important as it turned out. She was always handy and stayed on well from the final flight to overhaul the runner-up and favourite. She looks likely to be kept going during the summer.
Sienna Storm filled the runner-up berth for the third straight time. Always prominent, he came through to lead approaching the second-last and lookedthe likely winner at that stage but was running on the spot shortly after the last flight and was caught close home.
Baskerville ran an eyecatching race, albeit in a modest contest. Never involved, he kept on nicely through beaten horses and fallers to be nearest at the finish. What that means in the context of this race may turn out to be very little, but it was a nice looking run.
The race was still slightly open at the second-last, and Arcadia Boy still had every chance when falling at the second-last and bringing down Lough Carraig, who had led early but whose chance had gone at the time.
Aspolan raced handily and had moved upsides turning into the straight, but had come under pressure and looked beaten when he was hampered two out. He came home in his own time from the last.
