William Butler pressed leaders, closed on bit to lead before 3 out, soon clear, ridden 2 out, easily
Kirby´s Vic prominent, led 6th, ridden and headed on long run to 3 out, soon no chance of winner but always clear of rest
Red Man Ray took keen hold, led until after 1st, with leader until 6th, ridden and weakened 3 out, tired jump last
Ground Breaker led after 1st, headed 6th, faded before 3 out
Golly close up, ridden 7th, soon lost touch
Chigorin not fluent 4th, soon pushed along and never going well, struggling from 6th
Drum Native pulled hard early, always behind, lost touch before 5th
Night Reveller immediately detached in last, not fluent, no chance from 5th
Eborarry chased leaders until 6th, not run on
Phildari jumped slowly 4th and lost place, never going well after and several more slow jumps
Kimoe Warrior held up in rear, lost touch before 5th, tailed off
However, he won with any amount in hand and is clearly a different proposition for his new yard. He holds an entry at Uttoxeter on Tuesday and could presumably take up that engagement, given that he didn't have to come out of second gear here.
Right at the back Night Reveller caught the eye to a very limited extent on this, her chasing debut, and she did pass one or two close home having been held up well in rear, but she has had plenty of chances.
