Four drew clear of the remainder going to the second last, and on his first run at 3m, FLYING DOCTOR stayed on the best. He had travelled well just off the pace, and was ridden out after the last to score in good style. He clearly goes well on fast ground and being unexposed at this trip, may improve a little more.

Barracat is another who goes well on fast ground, and he ran a sound race for he made the running, was headed, but stayed on again to take second.

Hooky's Hope seemed to show improved form on her first run at this trip, but Hereford selling winner Le Forezien never got into it and reportedly finished lame.
