Corton Copse chased leaders, lost place 11f out, soon behind

The Duckster held up, behind from halfway, tailed off when pulled up inside final furlong
The statistic regarding favourites was smashed to pieces, but one of the debutants did take the race, but not many punters were on it. TARA TWO HILLS sauntered home under a confident ride to win easily. She would appear to be above average, considering the way she travelled, and should make her mark at this game. Connections did great business buying her, as she only cost £3,000 at the sales in April.
Easy Dancer had every chance put proved to be one-paced. Saint Espiegle shaped respectably on his debut as did Comic Book. Sergeant Cecil's half-sister Jambles did not suggest she has any of his sibling's talent quite yet, while the money placed on The Duckster proved wide of the mark. [DT]
