Always Baileys prominent, chased winner 6th until ridden and weakened 2 out
Vibe held up, behind 5th, moderate late progress
Charmahal held up, headway 5th, ridden and weakened after 3 out
Oakley Absolute prominent, chased winner 4th to 6th, ridden and weakened approaching 4 out
Fifth Column pulled hard and prominent, weakening when pecked 7th
Shire headway after 3rd, weakened 6th
A Sea Commander prominent, hampered 1st, lost place after 3rd, weakened 5th
Pinkerton Mill jumped right 1st, chased winner to 4th, weakened 6th
Oreli held up, behind from 5th
Teenando prominent when mistake and unseated rider 2nd
Dancewiththedevil made a satisfactory return to regulation fences, travelling well and keeping on. He should find a race. Always Baileys has always had a semblance of ability, but getting him to use it has not been easy. This was his best effort so far over fences, and he paid the price a little in the closing stages for going in pursuit of the winner off the home turn. He is still young enough to get his career back on track.
