Hallys Goal prominent, mistake 6th, soon ridden, weakened next, tailed off when pulled up before 3 out

River Heights held up in touch, weakened after 8th, tailed off when pulled up before 3 out
Rockman held up, always in rear, weakening when jumped slowly 7th, tailed off when pulled up before next
Analyis of the race
No strength in depth at all in this with few holding any chance on previous form. It all proved something of a cakewalk for the odds-on favourite SIMONDIUN who was always travelling strongly in behind the leaders and jumped to the front at the third-last. A winner here over the half-mile shorter trip early last month, and with a tongue tie added to the blinkers he wore for the first time on that occasion, he shrugged off his 7lb penalty with apparent ease and looks a real chaser in the making.
Therest finished legless. It took a relentless McCoy drive to get Shergill home in second place, while the mare Lets Get Busy, badly outpaced coming out of the back straight, kept on gamely for third. Gaelic Present, who took them along for overa circuit and a half, popping the brush hurdles in the manner of a horse who will have no problems jumping fences, tired on the run-in and deserves rating as the second-best horse in the race. Blazing Run, on her first start over hurdles, travelled well until mistakes at he fourth and third-last hurdles put paid to her chance. [NQ]
