Enodoc chased leader, slight lead over 1f out, held on to narrow advantage throughout final furlong, all out

Miss Firefly led until over 1f out, rallied well under pressure and only narrowly held throughout final furlong

Easy Wonder dwelt, towards rear, ridden over 2f out, good late headway

Tittle chased leaders, hard ridden over 1f out, kept on

Midnite Blews held up in rear, effort and in touch 2f out, hung badly left into rail and jockey unable to ride out from over 1f out

Shatter Resistant dwelt, headway into 4th over 3f out, weakened over 1f out

Diademas held up in 5th, effort and hung left over 1f out, soon weakened

There was no doubting that ENODOC was a well-handicapped horse these days and he proved the point, albeit only narrowly, holding on as Miss Firefly came back at him in the closing stages. Always tracking the pace, the winner took over just over a furlong out, but he never put any clear daylight between himself and the rest and was all out to hold on in the closing stages.

Miss Firefly battled on strongly despite having gone off quickly in the early stages and being headed over a furlong out and this was very encouraging.

Tittle was always chasing the pace but she didn't really display any real changeof gear.
