I Confess prominent, outpaced halfway, stayed on inside final furlong
Flying Goose slowly into stride, held up, ridden and hung left from over 2f out, never dangerous
Gift Horse dwelt, headway over 4f out, ridden and weakened over 2f out
Prince Of Delphi held up in touch, ridden over 2f out, weakened over 1f out
Dickie Le Davoir soon outpaced
River Kirov slowly into stride, held up, shaken up over 2f out, soon weakened
The winner had dropped to a reasonable mark and made no mistake in winning in eased down fashion close home here. He always seems to find hisform at this time of year and, on this evidence, there might well be a tidy prize in him in the near future.
Toms Laughter chased My Gacho throughout, but he could never get to him off his career high mark. He came into the race in reasonable formso it was a decent effort from the winner.
I Confess has never won and gave the impression he needs a bit further even though 7f looked too far last time.
Flying Goose is finding it all too difficult at the weights, while Gift Horse has dropped down the weights but did his chance no good with a tardy start. However, with Goodwood and a few other big meetings around the corner he should not be written off just yet.
