Ezima raced keenly in midfield, headway over 3f out, led 2f out, soon edged right and carried head high, headed over 1f out, not pace of winner inside final furlong
Queen Of Naples chased leader for 2f, remained prominent until ridden over 3f out, soon outpaced, stayed on from 1f out, took 3rd inside final furlong, not reach front 2
Folk Opera led, ridden and headed 2f out, weakened final furlong
Turbo Linn midfield, effort over 3f out, soon no impression
Dress Rehearsal in touch, ridden to challenge 3f out, weakened 2f out
Calakanga chased leader after 2f until ridden and 3f out, weakened 2f out
Sweet Lilly refused to settle in midfield, effort 3f out, edged right and flashed tail when beaten over 1f out
Samira Gold held up, pushed along over 4f out, never on terms
The change of going was clearly in her favour and she looked in splendid condition before the race, given that it was only seven days earlier when she finished third in a Group One at the Curragh.
She settled better than some of her rivals in the rear, travelled particularly strongly and picked up stylishly in the straight before switching between rivals, leading over a furlong out and pulling readily away once pressurewas applied.
Interestingly, the field came across to the stands' side off the bend, probably influenced by the fact that the winner of the previous race had come widest of all in the home straight.
Connections are eyeing the Irish Field St Leger onSeptember 13, although fast ground would probably force a change of direction. She has shown before that stamina won't be a problem there, although taking on the best of the colts might be if Aidan O'Brien elects to run the likes of Septimus or last year's winner Yeats.
Ezima, well-backed in the minutes before the race and sent off joint-favourite with the winner, was stepping up in grade and down in trip. Considering how keen she was for the first half-mile, she ran well, although it was slightlydisconcerting that she edged right under pressure throughout the final stages. She was unlucky to meet a rival in the league of the winner, although those that finished behind them probably aren't a great bunch.
Pacesetter Folk Opera kept on at one pace but had no answer when the principals swept past. She finished a place in front of Turbo Linn, who was easy to back and ran flat. Her trainer felt that the underfoot conditions were not in her favour, as they may also have been against Folk Opera.
Dress Rehearsal was found out in this better grade, while Sweet Lilly gave herself no chance by taking too keen a hold for the first half of the race.
