Analyis of the race
Ridden with plenty of dash with stamina obviously not a problem, ASKAR TAU settled things when kicking clear over three out to win most convincingly despite being eased close home. It was not much of a race, but it was only his fifth run and he had run well last time so he does look on the upgrade.
Spiritonthemount kept on in the closing stages but simply could not kick when the winner did and was a bit flattered by his proximity to the winner.
Mount Lavinia, upped in trip, came up the middle on her own, coming off the pace and keeping on without being able to get serious.
