Penel slowly into stride and soon ridden along towards rear, headway 4f out, chased leaders over 2f out, kept on under pressure but never pace to reach leaders
Josephine Malines in touch, driven 3f out, edged left over 1f out, kept on under pressure but never pace to reach leaders
Gunner Fly chased leader, closed 3f out, ridden to lead 2f out, headed over 1f out, one pace final furlong
Jellytot in touch, effort to chase leaders over 2f out, bumped over 1f out, kept on same pace under pressure after
Blue Empire raced in midfield, lost place 3f out, no chance with leaders after
Jaassey slowly into stride, driven over 3f out, modest late headway, never troubled leaders

Convince led, clear over 4f out, ridden and headed 2f out, soon faded, eased inside final furlong
Moon Forest chased leaders until over 3f out, soon struggling, well behind and eased final furlong
Cabourg raced in midfield, lost place and ridden over 3f out, tailed off and eased final furlong
This was a poor contest, even by selling race in standards, and MESSIAH GARVEY was the victor. Denied a clear passage early in the straight, he produced a strong run after being switched to take command inside the last. His stamina was largely unproven before this race, but he proved here that he stays this trip well enough in this grade.
Five Wishes, an exasperating customer, who was dropping in class, was produced to win her race entering the last,but the winner, who came from behind her, proved too strong when the chips were down.
Josephine Malines kept on, without being able to land a telling blow, while Gunner Fly, making his seasonal bow, led at the two furlong pole, but failed to finish his race off as well as the principals.
