Analyis of the race
They went a decent pace in the contest and that enabled REGISTRAR to return to winning form after he had hinted that he was coming back to his best previously. He wasn't asked to deliver his challenge until switched right over a furlong out but foundplenty and quickened up to lead inside the final furlong. He had won off this mark previously and the fitting of cheekpieces has clearly had the desired effect.
Oh So Saucy has risen 10lb in the weights since taking a handicap at Leicester last month and should could just be in the handicapper's grip now. She came through to lead entering the final furlong and kept on but didn't have the pace of the winner in the closing stages. She can continue to run well in this company but may be fighting for place money off her current perch.
Woodhills Schnaps came from well off the pace and kept on quite well in the closing stages but has yet to win on the turf and Semah Harold hung left over a furlong out but at least showed a bit more this time.
Applesnap has won over 6f here on her penultimate start and gave the impression that the return to that trip would be in her favour as she came through to have every chance over a furlong out after racing close up from the start before fading at the business end.
