Heart Of Dubai held up in rear, effort 4f out, lost place over 2f out, eased inside final furlong
August Gale chased leader, ridden over 4f out, lost place 3f out, soon behind
The runner-up set a decent pace and the only one who ever really looked like catching him was PRINCE KALAMOUN, who has probably done very well to reel him in, making ground from over 3f out and leading just inside the final 1f for a ready victory. He had looked an improved performer when stepped up to this trip and winning a maiden here a fortnight earlier and he has progressed further this time. There is better still to come from this good-looking three-year-old who will get longer trips too and looks sure to win more handicaps.
Mangham has improved this year and was unluckyto come up against a similarly progressive rival. He did everything right, setting a good pace and getting all bar the winner on the stretch, and he came clear of the rest. This showed he handles a firm surface, and he has more races in him.
The rest were well held, with August Gale weakening quickly after chasing the leader on this step up in trip.
