There were plenty seemingly in the form to run well, although the field was milling around at the start for nearly 40 minutes after an injury to a rider and that may not have helped one or two.
MANDALAY KING had shown a smidgeon of promise on his previous start and he fulfilled it, backed from 22-1 to 12-1 and leading approaching the final 1f to score readily. He looks to have found a bit of form and it is worth giving this this lightly raced three-year-old the chance to prove this was no flash in the pan.
Buzbury Rings was always prominent and ran a good race in second - he was another less than fully exposed contender and is doing wellfor his new stable.
High Window kept on well and ran one of his better races, while Greek Secret also finished well and confirmed the impression from his previous start that he is back in a bit of form.
Wiltshire deserves credit after spoiling his chance with a slow start.
Of the rest Lambency kept on and may need a stiffer test
