Downhiller made all, quickened pace 3f out, stayed on well, edged right towards finish, ridden out
First Avenue restrained in rear, headway over 3f out, soon ridden to chase winner, edged left from over 1f out, held when carried right towards finish
Sweet Lightning tracked leaders, lost place slightly and not clear run over 3f out, soon switched right and ridden, hung left but kept on from over 1f out
Casilda tracked leaders, ridden to dispute 2nd 3f out, kept on same pace final 2f
Monterrico held up, ridden over 3f out, kept on same pace, never able to mount challenge
West With The Wind soon tracking leaders, ridden 3f out, kept on but never going pace to mount a challenge
Ruff Diamond with winner, ridden and hung right 3f out, soon beaten
First Avenue had every chance to take the front-runner but he did not impress with his attitude, head carriage and hanging in behind the winner. He is still running to a consistent level without suggesting he's going to add to his maiden win off this sort of mark.
Monterrico travelled well settled at the back but did not impress as a stayer at this longer trip even allowing for the steady pace catching him out as they were quickening up as he angled out to start his run.
