Pass The Port held up, headway over 2f out, ridden when chased leaders over 1f out, one pace final 100yds
Vanquisher midfield, ridden 3f out, stayed on approaching final furlong, no impression on leaders
Cruise Director midfield, ridden and headway over 3f out, chased leaders over 2f out, weakened inside final furlong
Clear Reef missed break, in rear, effort over 2f out, edged left over 1f out, no impression on leaders
Rudry World held up, ridden over 3f out, never on terms
Tusculum chased leader until ridden over 3f out, weakened over 2f out, soon eased
Yossi gave the winner a bit to think about and while it has been suggested that he is a ‘weak finisher' there may be a decent handicap in him. This trip suited.
Pass The Post came from off the pace but was unable to get near the first three. The ground may have softened just too much for him.
Vanquisher kept on without being able to make any real impression and it is debatable whether this trip suits him better than 12f.
Cruise Director left the impression that shorter trip suits better, but he has not won for some time.
