Tanto Faz tracked leaders, went 2nd over 2f out, ran on inside final furlong to lead towards finish
French Art led, about 4 lengths clear halfway, ridden over 1f out, headed and held towards finish
Hippolytus midfield, headway to chase leaders over 3f out, one pace approaching final furlong
Times Vital midfield, pushed along over 3f out, headway over 2f out, one pace approaching final furlong
Presvis steadied start, held up and raced keenly, switched left and some headway 2f out, no impression on leaders
Ghufa held up, effort over 2f out, soon eased briefly, no impression on leaders
Confide In Me behind, kept on final furlong, never on terms with leaders
Dream Of Olwyn chased leaders, pushed along over 4f out, weakened over 2f out
Our Nations slowly into stride, always behind
Middle Of Nowhere slowly into stride, held up, pushed along over 3f out, ran green, never on terms
Double Duty chased leader over 5f out until over 2f out, soon weakened, eased when beaten inside final furlong
This was not the hottest of maidens. TANTO FAZ was given a confident ride, but things got a bit anxious when the long-time leader did not look like stopping, but all credit to him for picking up and getting on top in the last strides. It was only his second run and with a mile and a quarter like to suit there is improvement to come.
French Art, who pulled hard last time, settled nicely in front and kept up the gallop, only to be beaten by a better horse at the weights. He was well clear of the third and there is a maiden of this nature in him now.
Times Vital is another who will now be handicapped and he has also done enough to give him hopes in that company.
Presvis had been showing definite signs of ability and he could well prove best of these when stepping up to handicaps.
