Sahaadi held up, soon outpaced in rear, pushed along halfway, good progress 2f out, led just inside final furlong, soon clear
Westport off the pace in midfield, ridden in 6th and plenty to do over 2f out, stayed on to close from 2f out, went 2nd inside final furlong, no danger to winner
Norcroft dwelt, held up, soon outpaced and well behind, ridden before halfway, stayed on final 2f to take 3rd near finish
Dvinsky pressed leading pair at furious pace, went 2nd over 2f out to over 1f out, kept on and chance entering final furlong, no extra
Forced Upon Us chased clear leading trio, ridden halfway, switched to inner and closed to challenge over 1f out, faded inside final furlong
Joy And Pain outpaced and last of main group, always struggling, kept on as leaders tired final 2f
Valhillen chased clear leaders, outpaced in 5th place over 3f out, tried to close under pressure from 2f out, no extra final furlong
Scarlet Oak pressed very fast pace set by leader, led well over 2f out, headed and weakened rapidly just inside final furlong
Minaash started very slowly and lost all chance, always tailed off
Mambazo fast away, set furious pace but pressed, headed well over 2f out, weakened rapidly
It was therefore no surprise that the picture changed dramaticallyinto the final furlong as those getting a more even-handed ride stayed on past exhausted rivals.
SAHAADI was well suited to the way the race was run as she was dropping back in trip and wisely not trying to go with the frontrunners which has been her method previously, she had plenty in reserve to race away in the final furlong for a clearcut win. She has slipped back to a handy mark and given a similarly strongly-run race, this trip looks to suit her well.
Norcroft snatched an unlikely third late. Stripped of all aids, he ran on well enough to suggest his mark, due to drop another pound is future, is becoming attractive.
Dvisnky, due to go up 2lb in future, does not know how to run a bad race and notably did best of the trailblazers which was not unexpected as he gets 7f
