The Fifth Member tracked leading pair, went 2nd 2f out, driven to lead just over 1f out, stayed on well and drew clear
Ocean Legend led, driven 2f out, edged left over 1f out, soon headed, no chance with winner final furlong but held on for 2nd
Eternal Luck held up towards rear, hard ridden and progress over 2f out, stayed on to take 3rd inside final furlong and close on runner-up near finish
Indy Driver dropped in from wide draw and held up well in rear, ridden over 2f out, progress well over 1f out, stayed on, nearest finish
Mr Garston pressed leader to 2f out, gradually faded
Cross The Line tracked leaders on inner, ridden 2f out, no response and soon beaten
Networker settled well in rear, ridden and outpaced by leaders over 2f out, modest late progress, never a factor
Hasty Retreat tracked leaders on outer, ridden and not quicken over 2f out, soon lost touch
Thannaan held up behind leaders, ridden and not quicken over 2f out, beaten after
Benfleet Boy never beyond midfield, under pressure and struggling over 2f out, weakened over 1f out
Sun Catcher always towards rear, ridden and left behind from over 2f out
St Petersburg took keen hold, raced wide and held up, lost touch under pressure over 2f out, tailed off
To The Max held up on wide outside and soon well in rear, tailed off
He showed a taking burst inside the final furlong to go clear. He will pay with the handicapper but on this evidence, he can strike again on this surface.
Ocean Legend deserves plenty of credit for a fine front-running effort that held off the rest. He has run into another well handicapped rival and deserves a win at this level.
Eternal Luck found things happening all too quickly for him in the second half of the race having been tucked away in the pack. He was staying on steadily in his first-time blinkers.
Mr Garston hinted there may be better to come in what has been a truncated career. This looks more like his level these days and he ran well under his big weight before getting tired.
Networker ran too keenly in rear in the early stages.
