Armure tracked leaders, progress to go 2nd 2f out, narrow lead entering final furlong, urged along and found enough to assert near finish
Amhooj tracked leader, led over 2f out, driven and narrowly headed entering final furlong, fought on but held near finish
Stormy View started slowly, reached midfield 7f out, progress under pressure to take 3rd over 1f out, easily outpaced by leading pair
Lush towards rear, ridden and effort well over 2f out, never on terms but stayed on final furlong
Beautiful Lady tracked leaders, close enough over 2f out, soon well outpaced
Kritzia well in rear and ran green, hanging when asked for effort over 2f out, stayed on from over 1f out
Siena tracked leaders, close enough over 2f out, soon ridden and weakened
Alzaroof never beyond midfield, outpaced from over 2f out, no impression after
Sacred Flame pulled hard in midfield early, progress to chase leading pair 3f out, went 2nd briefly over 2f out, soon weakened
Katy Kitten tracked leaders, ridden and outpaced over 2f out, weakened over 1f out
One Oak always behind, last 3f out, nudged along and passed 3 rivals final furlong
Rumline started slowly, mostly in last, brief effort 4f out, weakened over 2f out
In Decorum dwelt, always in last trio, ridden and struggling 3f out
Bellalatino led to over 2f out, weakened rapidly
ARMURE was stepping up in trip on this belated seasonal return and needed it all to subdue game runner-up Amhooj. Her rider noticeably putdown his whip after a couple of slaps and resorted to shaking the reins to cajole her past her rival. This well-related filly has achieved the aim of boosting her paddocks value.
Amhooj, out of a Group 1 winner in Harayir, was also stepping up in trip and did nothing wrong in beating the rest well, including a higher-rated filly in Stormy View back in third.
The rest were well beaten with Lush running as if this was plenty far enough, but if there is one improver out of the pack it is Kritzia. She has a bit of size and scope but was far too green to do herself justice. A placing in the last four looked likely as she hung right under pressure early in the straight but when the penny dropped, she was staying in takingly and should improve considerably on this debut.
