Lady Cottingham tracked leader 2f, went 2nd again over 2f out, closed to lead narrowly inside final furlong, asserted last 75yds
Misty Glade crossed from wide draw to lead, set modest pace until kicked on just over 2f out, headed inside final furlong, one pace last 75yds
Black Nun dwelt, settled in last pair and ran green, still in last pair 2f out, picked up well just over 1f out, ran on to take 3rd last stride, better for experience
Nashmiah dwelt, took keen hold early, held up and wide, ran very green most of way, good progress to chase leading pair over 1f out, stayed on but lost 3rd last stride, better for experience
Casting Couch ran in snatches, chased leaders, readily outpaced from well over 1f out
Heaven Knows When took keen hold, chased leader after 2f to over 2f out, weakened
Herecomesbella took keen hold, tracked leaders on outer, ridden over 2f out, soon well outpaced and beaten
Protiva held up towards rear, effort on inner over 2f out, weakened over 1f out
Efficiency dwelt, always in last pair, pushed along and no progress 2f out
Misty Glade clearly benefitted from orchestrating the race and for a moment she looked as if she might have nicked it when going a couple of lengths clear with LADY COTTINGHAM flat out in pursuit. She could not hold on, finding this longer trip just finding her out with Lady Cottingham contrastingly enjoying every yard of the trip.
The winner's stablemate Black Nun, who caught the eye of paddock judges, is a winner in waiting. She ran green when asked to pick up from last into the final 2f but lengthened takingly under hand riding into the final furlong and would have been second in another stride such was her momentum.
