Fabuleux Cherie chased winner, not quicken and outpaced well over 1f out, no impression after, lost 2nd inside final furlong

Liberty Valance bumped start, settled in last, outpaced well over 1f out, kept on one pace after, nearest finish

Stoneacre Sarah dropped in from wide draw, always in last pair, no progress over 1f out

LE TOREADOR looks a sprinter to follow on the evidence of this second straight win, achieved in runaway fashion. This brother to Group 1-winning sprinter La Cucaracha looks to be strengthening up and is starting from a humble rating. He has natural speed and while he was kept right up to his work, he had the race won as soon as he kicked before the final 2f after turning into the straight. He clearly relishes a fast surface and looks set to run up a sequence.

Orpen's Art gives the form a solidlook but he raced keenly early and like the rest could not change up gear instantly when the winner did. He stayed on steadily wider out midtrack but is 10lb higher than his last win and runs too consistently to get relief.

Liberty Valance could never land a blow over this quick 5f after taking a bump early and travelling out wide. He is beginning to look tripless as his efforts have been flattening out over 6f.
