Something had to win it and that honour befell SOVIET SCEPTRE, who had won a seller over hurdles two weeks ago. He showed a willing attitudebut he is strictly limited on what he has shown in the past and will not be the easiest to place.
Greenwich Village has yet to win a race but there might well be a bad one in him somewhere as he did not do anything wrong here.
Floodlight Fantasy ran his race but he is 10lb higher than when winning on the level earlier this year.
Awash looks anything but straightforward on what he did here.
