Gallagher always prominent, led well over 1f out, pushed clear inside final furlong, comfortably
My Sweet Georgia always prominent, ridden over 2f out, went 2nd inside final furlong, no chance with winner
My Best Man held up in touch, ridden and edged right over 1f out, kept on same pace final furlong
Hand Painted dwelt, held up in rear, headway over 2f out, carried right and not much room briefly over 1f out, kept on inside final furlong, better for race
Piazza San Pietro always chasing leaders, one pace final furlong
Lesley´s Choice led, headed well over 1f out, soon ridden, weakened inside final furlong
Join Up held up towards rear, steady headway over 3f out, ridden over 1f out, weakened final furlong
Jimwasright mid-division, ridden and lost place over 2f out, no danger after
Cash In The Attic dwelt, outpaced, never near leaders
Endofmytether slowly into stride, short-lived effort over 3f out
Hollow Green always in rear
Indian Blade mid-division, lost place over 3f out, soon behind
Twos And Eights with leader until ridden and weakened over 2f out
Conakry pushed along over 3f out, always towards rear
Meirig´s Dream chased leaders 3f
Lady Aoy slowly into stride, ridden over 3f out, always in rear
All the action was stands' side to middle and GALLAGHER had obviously learnt from his debut effort as he turned this contest into a one way contest. He never looked like being picked up from some way out and looks to have a bright future. Connections favour a step up to conditions class for him now and as there is more improvement to come he can make a little name for himself before the season is out.
My Sweet Georgia never seemed to be travelling and did well to get second in the end as it did not looks as if she appreciated the ground as fast as this. Nurseries are probably her future now.
Hand Painted did best of the newcomers and proved to be an eyecatcher as she was doing all her best work in the closing stages. Given normal improvement she should win as she comes from a yard which usually hit form at the time of year.
Piazza San Petro also ran with promise on his debut and he should derive benefit for this.
The front six were clear and they were completed by Lesley's Choice, who gave the impression she will be suited by nurseries and a step back to the minimum.
