Analyis of the race

A decidedly unusual maiden for the track which is rarely the next point of call for Group 2-placed fillies. But connections were keen to get a win out of Queen Mary Stakes runner-up SHYRL and she comfortably justified her very short odds. Soon in front, she was always in command - she edged right and tended to idle slightly over 1f out but her superiority was never in question. She will reportedly bid for the Prix Robert Papin or Molecomb Stakes next and her Royal Ascot effort means she would have tobe taken very seriously - she looks potentially a very smart two-year-old sprinter in the making.

Minotaurious did best of the rest without seriously threatening the winner, always in touch and keeping on - she had been tried in Listed company on her debut and is clearly up to landing a run-of-the-mill race.

Hysterical Ladypaid the price for chasing the winner and weakened late on so she may be worth another chance.

Impressible also ran well for a long way but did not get home after showing prominently - speed looks her main asset.
