Lilac Moon pushed up to lead, made all, had most in trouble 3f out and soon kicked at least 3 lengths clear, driven over 1f out, hung right inside final furlong, held on
Papradon held up towards rear, progress on outer over 2f out, driven and stayed on to take 2nd last 100yds, never quite reached winner
Formidable Guest tracked leaders, progress over 2f out, chased winner well over 1f out, held inside final furlong and lost 2nd last 100yds
Mix N Match held up well in rear, driven on outer and struggling 3f out, progress over 1f out, stayed on final furlong, nearest finish
Oasis Sun held up in midfield, effort over 2f out, hanging and not quicken under pressure over 1f out, kept on
Postmaster held up well in rear, pushed along over 2f out, some progress from over 1f out, kept on, no danger
Dr Light held up well in rear, ridden 3f out, no progress until stayed on from over 1f out, nearest finish
Recalcitrant mostly chased winner, driven over 3f out, weakened well over 1f out
Green Pirate held up in midfield, under pressure and struggling 3f out, lost place 2f out, no danger after
Danish Monarch chased leading trio, driven over 3f out, steadily weakened from 2f out
Nil Bleu held up in last pair, ridden and struggling 3f out, no progress
Mamichor tracked leading pair, driven to dispute 2nd 2f out, weakened rapidly just over 1f out
Balerno always in rear, weakened 3f out, tailed off
Like the winner, Papradon was nicely backed. Ridden much more patiently, he was still only disputing fifth starting up the short straight but ran on well to press the winner and finish clear of the rest. He too is from an in-form stable, and he can win a similar race.
Mix N Match came from last place for fourth and is capable of popping up in this company when everything drops right for him.
Recalcitrant pressed the winner for a long way and finished just ahead of Postmaster, who never got involved, and Dr Light.
James Doyle reported Recalcitrant had no more to give.
